Bunbury Music Festival – Watsky Review

Bunbury Music Festival 2017 – Watsky Review

written by Megan Randall

Watsky isn’t what you’d expect in a typical rapper, but his songs aren’t typical rap songs. Mixing rap with softer melodies, he’s not afraid to appear nerdy to the greater world. He’s himself, and the set he performed showed.

Rapping then transitioning to melodically discussing love, his set list kick off for Bunbury Music Festival “Sloppy Seconds,” is Watsky to the “T” (or tye-dye T as he mentions in the song). His unique blend was a perfect addition to the festival bands.

Spitting out his most popular rhymes like “Moral of the Story” and “Whoa Whoa Whoa,” he played to a sizeable audience despite the intense heat wave befalling the concert.

Miss him? Need to see him? You can catch him on many of the 2017 Warped Tour dates promoting his 2016 album, “x Infinity. Check out all dates at georgewatsky.com/tour/.
