Escape The Fate hails from Las Vegas and has been on the music scene since 2005.  The current roster consists of Robert Ortiz (drummer), Craig Mabbitt (lead vocalist), TJ Bell (rhythm guitarist and vocalist), and Kevin “Thrasher” Gruft (lead guitarist).  The band just released a new album, I Am Human, with the song “Broken Heart” being played in heavy rotation on many hard rock and rock stations. (video below).

Escape The Fate took the stage and lead singer Craig Mabbitt immediately began leaning into the excited crowd singing “Do You Love Me”.  The band had tons of energy on stage and a great sound!  Escape The Fate continued on their set playing hit songs “Broken Heart” and also “One For The Money”.  The band did a great job getting fans fired up for the next artist, Nothing More.

Nothing More, hailing from San Antonio,TX, took the stage with band members Jonny Hawkins (vocals/percussion), Daniel Oliver (bass), Mark Vollelunga (guitar), and Ben Anderson (drums).  Nothing More has seen a ton of success from their 2014 self titled release with so many hit songs!  Now the band is seeing even more success from the 2017 release of The Stories We Tell Ourselves with the smash song “Go To War”.  The Stories We Tell Ourselves has earned the band three Grammy Award nominations: Best Rock Album for the album, and Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance for “Go to War”!  With all the success the band has seen and the popularity they have gained, the crowd at the Mercury Ballroom was more than ready for Nothing More to get this show going!  Jonny Hawkins came on stage and took a spot behind the drums at the front of the stage and the band kicked off the set with “Christ Copyright”.  Jonny has so much energy on stage, smiling as he hammers the drum set and sporting his trademark stage look of no shirt and no shoes.  The band performed flawlessly playing “Go To War”, “Jenny”, and even had Papa Roach come out on stage as a surprise to perform in “Don’t Stop”! This was an amazing set by Nothing More! This is a must see band!

Finally the act everyone has been waiting for! Papa Roach, hailing from California and formed in 1993, has had success after success selling more than 20 million copies of their songs!  Papa Roach’s most recent album Crooked Teeth was released in May 2017 and has a ton of hit songs on it including the songs “Help” and “American Dreams”.  The crowd packed in as close as they could to the stage while the curtain hiding the stage was lit from behind and the house lights dropped.  Everyone was ready for Papa Roach when the curtain dropped and the explosion of music proceeded to take everyone by storm!  The band, consisting of members Jacoby Shaddix (vocals), Jerry Horton (guitar), Tobin Esperance (bass), and Tony Palermo (drums), kicked things off with the hit song “Crooked Teeth”.  The band quickly moved into the set list containing a total of 18 songs and hits such as “Kick In The Teeth”, “Gravity”, “Face Everything And Rise”, and the final encore song, “Born For Greatness”.  Throughout the night Jacoby stood at the edge of the stage interacting with the crowd.  Jacoby sounded amazing singing all night and showed so much emotion!  The Crooked Teeth tour is not one that you want to miss!! Seeing these three bands together in such a small venue was such a treat! There are still tour dates coming up so check your town/city and get tickets if they have not already sold out! You will not be disappointed!
