The video, which depicts Smrtdeath and his friends crashing an old man’s house in the Canadian tundra and throwing a house party much to his chagrin, fits the fun and irresponsible vibe that Smrtdeath masterfully exudes in his music.
Smrtdeath manages to blend both ends of the ever popular Soundcloud rap spectrum perfectly on “ima shine like that best coke that u ever had.” The braggadocios lyrics and upbeat tone of the song is akin to trap Soundcloud rappers such as Lil Pump and Smokepurpp, while the guitar sample, introspective musings in the verses, and overall image of the video helps keep him rooted in the emo spectrum of the genre, being reminiscent of acts such as Wicca Phase Springs Eternal, and the late Lil Peep. |
