NOTHING MORE SELLS OUT THE AZTEC IN SAN ANTONIO, TX – 3/23/19

A thunderous palpable chorus of singing filled the evening in San Antonio, Texas this past Saturday.  Hometown boys Nothing More gave their everything and the crowd returned the favor.

Walking into the Aztec Theater, located within walking distance of The Alamo, you notice the renovations that took place giving the interior a nostalgic feeling.  I like this venue due to its tiered layout.  Almost any location gives you a good view of the stage.

Today marked the end of the tour with Of Mice and Men, Badflower and Palisades, which easily sold out weeks before. As I joined the crowd, you could feel the electricity in the air given off by fans waiting to see their rock champions take the stage.

A curtain was drawn up in front of the stage to add a little extra suspense to what was about to happen. Suddenly the word ɥʇnɹʇ appeared on the white tapestry and the crowd shouted with glee! As the band walked out to the stage they would occasionally come closer to the curtain, teasing onlookers, helping build the tension. And then the curtain dropped, the fans shouts erupted in a deafening roar as Nothing More broke into their current hit single Let ‘em Burn! A great start to an epic night. Hit after hit and song after song, the right notes were played and nothing could top this night.

Watching Nothing More performer is a jaw dropping experience due to their unstoppable energy, which transcended throughout the theater. I was also amazed at being part of a home town show for a band, something which up to this point I had never witnessed. Everyone sang back every lyric as loud as they could, being wholeheartedly consumed in the magic of the show. You could feel the love and passion of the fans voices vibrate down to the bone as they lost themselves with each song through the evening.

A Nothing More concert is more than just a concert, it is almost akin to a ritual.  You are left drained, drenched in sweat, and out of breath but completely satisfied! If you get a any chance to see them live, don’t make any excuses, buy those tickets and GO!
