Northern California Blues Americana Singer / Songwriter KATIE KNIPP has released a new single and lyric video, “Chamomile and Cocaine.”

Top Ten Billboard Charter in Blues albums and 2 time Sacramento Music Award Winner for Best Blues Artist, Katie says, “I felt like a kid on a trampoline the minute I started writing this.” This big sound features her core 5 piece band (co-producer Zack Proteau on bass, Neil Campisano on drums, Chris Martinez on guitar, Otis Mourning on Saxophone, and Katie Knipp on vocals and piano) plus special guest Keith Cotton (Joan Osborne’s musical director) on Hammond B3. The focus of this song was 100% fun, with an anthematic “Here I am world, I’m comin’ atcha!”. Recorded and mixed by Dustin Shapiro and Zack Proteau (Jackie Greene’s “Gone Wanderin’” producer). She played the 2019 Mammoth Blues Festival as the only solo female act that included headliners Buddy Guy, Trombone Shorty, Charlie Musselwhite, and more. She has won two SAMMIES-2020 and 2019 (Sacramento Music Awards) for Best Blues Artist, and was nominated Artist of The Year by The Sacramento News and Review. She has gained worldwide radio support, putting “Take it With You” on the Roots Music Report in Top Contemporary Blues Albums spun for 2019 and 2018. She is currently in the studio with her 6th album that includes special guest Keith Cotton, the musical director and keyboardist for Joan Osborne.
