Preview of upcoming Killthrax Tour Featuring Anthrax and Killswitch Engage

ANTHRAX AND KILLSWITCH ENGAGE TO CO-HEADLINE SPRING 2017 NORTH AMERICAN TOUR “KILLTHRAX”

Every once in a great while a truly epic concert tour is announced. But the Spring 2017 KillThrax tour will truly transcend epic. Thrash metal legends Anthrax and metalcore masterminds Killswitch Engage are joining forces to co-headline a 27-date North American tour, presented by SiriusXM, that will no doubt go down in music history as one of the most amazing metal tours ever.

Anthrax has been building a devoted fan base for the past 35 years and dates on the tour are already selling out due to their reputation of putting on an unforgettable live show. The band will be promoting their critically-celebrated 11th album, For All Kings, which was released last February and debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Hard Rock Albums chart and #9 on the Billboard 200.

Killswitch Engage hits the road on the KillThrax tour after a huge 2016 that included the release of the universally regarded Incarnate in March, which debuted #6 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on Billboard’s Hard Rock Album chart. 2016 also saw KsE appearing on a Stars Wars-themed Revolver cover, staging an unforgettable and intimate, five-club NYC takeover for album release week, and embarking on an impressive Incarnate World Tour.

“Anthrax and Killswitch will be a really good blend for fans,” said Anthrax’s drummer Charlie Benante. “We both play metal, but we play two different forms of the genre. I think fans of both bands are in for a ‘Total Explosion of the Senses.'”

Also touring with the metal giants are Devil Wears Prada, a tight and talented metalcore band from Dayton, OH. Devil Wears Prada has such a dynamic array of genre-crossing music that they are a perfect fit with the Killthrax tour.

Multi-tasking Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta will perform solo as Jasta and open the first 10 shows of the tour including the two Killswitch Engage headline shows that do not feature Anthrax.

Pittsburgh’s Code Orange, who are being hailed as one of the most exciting metal acts of 2017 with the release of their new album FOREVER, will open all of the dates thereafter. Code Orange jump on the tour on April 11.

“This Anthrax/KSE tour is a powerful ball of energy ready to unleash the metal in the U.S.,” said Frank Bello, bassist for Anthrax. It’s definitely a phenomenon no one wants to miss!
