Release “Killer + The Sound” Live Video Collaboration On NPR

 

Seattle indie-rocker NOAH GUNDERSEN and Los Angeles songwriter PHOEBE BRIDGERS have released a video/track collaboration for their respective singles “The Sound”, off Gundersen’s latest album White Noise, and “Killer”, from Bridgers’ acclaimed 2017 debut album, Stranger In The Alps (Dead Oceans).  The stripped down video and track were recorded at Seattle’s Studio X and features the help of Abby Gundersen on piano and vocals. “I’m just a big fan of her work. I listened to her record obsessively and I wanted to make something with her,” explains Gundersen. “This was recorded on our last day of tour together, when we all had a few spare hours in the afternoon.”

“I’ve been a fanatic Noah fan since I was a teenager. He changed the way I write music, made me more comfortable with being honest in my songs,” Bridgers reflects. “Getting to sing with him was like getting pulled onstage by your favorite band during a show.”

NOAH GUNDERSEN is on tour this fall for select acoustic dates in the US, kicking off in Charlotte, NC on September 19th. His third studio LP, White Noise, is out now on Cooking Vinyl America. Watch his recent interview with Billboard and his sessions with AV Club and KEXP.

PHOEBE BRIDGERS is currently on a North American tour in support of Stranger In The Alps that has seen sell-outs in nearly every city, including tonight at San Francisco’s Bottom of the Hill and tomorrow night at her hometown’s Troubadour. She and her album have seen high praise from Pitchfork, NPR Music (‘Tiny Desk Concert,’ ‘Slingshot’ artist), Billboard, Vulture, Stereogum, Bandcamp, The A.V. Club, NY Mag’s Vulture, W Magazine, and Under The Radar, among many others, as well as spots on 2017 year-end, best-of lists from outlets including The FADER (‘#1 Best New Artist of 2017’), Noisey, Uproxx, Consequence Of Sound, Paste, BBC6, The SundayTimes (UK), and Rough Trade. Last month, she made her network TV debut with a performance and interview on CBS This Morning: Saturday Sessions, and also appeared on Live From Here with Chris Thile (formerly A Prairie Home Companion).
