Multi-platinum guitar legend TED NUGENT announces a new full-length album THE MUSIC MADE ME DO IT, due out Friday, November 9 on Round Hill Records. The album is available now for preorder everywhere, and the title track “The Music Made Me Do It” is available to download and stream wherever music is sold. “Over the years, I have had the pleasure of playing on many great records working as a studio musician; but working on this record will forever be a highlight of my career. As Ted’s touring drummer for the last 3 years, it was awesome to get the opportunity to record the new CD. We took a really old school approach. The drums, bass and rhythm guitar were recorded live together in a room to really get an organic and energetic vibe. The songs that Ted wrote for this CD are reminiscent of all of the iconic guitar licks that he has created over the years and I think that fans of Ted Nugent and the classic rock sound are really gonna love this album. The Live DVD that is included with the Physical CD release is also very special to me because it was shot at Freedom Hill Amphitheater in Sterling Heights, MI, which is about a mile and a half from where I grew up and went to school in Fraser, MI.” says Jason Hartless. The live music video for “The Music Made Me Do It” was shot at The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, California during Nugent’s summer tour and showcases the raw energy of Nugent’s legendary live performances, offering a taste of the new studio material recorded over the last year for the upcoming album, THE MUSIC MADE ME DO IT. The band’s lineup features Greg Smith on bass, Jason Hartless on drums, and the Motor City Madman on lead guitar and vocals. Accompanying the CD is a Bonus DVD, LIVE AT FREEDOM HILL, an electrifying full length concert captured at Freedom Hill Amphitheater in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
