Los Angeles metalcore band Silent Planet opened up the night in Cincinnati, Ohio on tour with August Burns Red and Silverstein. (When I arrived at *name venue**) I saw there was a line down the street with fans waiting to make their way into the venue to catch three amazing bands. Silent Planet came out on stage as lead singer Garret Russel took his position at center stage and wasted no time belting out some energy laced lyrics for the crowd to take in. The mixture of the music and an excited front-man grabbed the crowds attention immediately. Kicking the night off with the song “The New Eternity”, you could see fans start moving around in the crowd grabbing a hold of the energy and getting into the music. Garrett and the rest of the band quickly dispensed of the first song and led right into the next song, “Orphan”. By the time the third song “Panic Room” kicked in Garret jumped off the stage and flew up onto the barricade which was lined with fans going wild to get up close and personal. If you have the opportunity to catch Silent Planet on tour definitely consider heading out and seeing these guys perform!
