Darling Waste Releases Music Video for “How I Spent My Summer Vacation”

The Skeleton Key Releases August 11th on Imminence Records

(July 13th, 2017) – Ohio based indie rock/pop punk Darling Waste is pleased to announce that their label debut, entitled The Skeleton Key, August 11th. The band has just unleashed the music video for their lead single “How I Spent My Summer Vacation.” The band’s members are all in the LGBTQ+ community and will announce future plans at a later point.

This album was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. It took four years to write and record, and I almost gave up on it several times. The album weaves in and out of itself lyrically with each song on this album having a companion song as well. This batch of songs tells several stories from the past couple years of my life, written in real time as they were happening.” – Lance Waste (Vocalist/Guitarist)

About Darling Waste:

Darling Waste began in Cleveland, OH before chasing the dream to NYC and England. True DIY road warriors, Darling Waste have played almost 700 shows in 11 countries, playing self- booked tours of basements, VFW halls, and clubs while building a fiercely loyal army of devoted fans along the way. Darling Waste has sold more than 15,000 albums while their music has been in rotation on over 100 radio stations and has been featured on dozens of TV shows and feature films.

The release of Darling Waste’s critically acclaimed album, I Am Born, saw the band nominated for a British Music Week Award & invited to the Brighton Music Awards, where they were co-presenters with Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin and Roger Daltrey of The Who. The single “Changing of the Seasons” earned a spot in Alternative Addiction’s Top 100 Romantic Singles of all time. Vocalist Lance Waste has been nominated twice for Cleveland Vocalist of the Year.

Darling Waste’s accomplishments are a direct result of years spent paying their dues: stints of homelessness, instrument thefts and broken hands, feet and jaws haven’t kept the band from building a strong relationship with their fans. Dozens of fans have gone as far as having the bands logo tattooed on them as a sign of permanent devotion, proving there is no such thing as a casual Darling Waste fan.

The band’s working class mentality, dynamic live show, and fan connection have afforded Darling Waste opportunities to play several festivals in the US and UK and share the stage with Blink 182, Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, Bayside, The Ataris, Dashboard Confessional, Yellowcard, Chiodos, Saliva, Norma Jean, Saves the Day, Aiden, and many others. The band then went on to sign with Imminence Records in late 2016 for their new album, that will be released on 2017.
