Louder Than Life Festival 2017 – WHY YOU NEED TO BE THERE!!

LTLFEST

Danny Wimmer Presents (DWP) is without a doubt the king of music festivals. DWP is the largest independent festival producer with 14 annual festivals in 13 US cities. The music festival giant is taking things up another notch with Louder Than Life 2017 which will be held at Champion’s Park in Louisville, KY on September 30 and October 1. The lineup includes some of the biggest names in rock and roll and it’s destined to be an unforgettable experience for attendees.

2017 marks the fourth year of the Louder Than Life festival and the lineup this year is bigger and better than ever. Saturday kicks off with three of my personal favorites – Palisades, Through Fire, and Ded. All three amazing bands that have had significant national recognition this year. Other Saturday bands include Starset, Steel Panther, Hollywood Undead, Gojira, and Halestorm among many others. The main headliners for Saturday are Five Finger Death Punch (featuring the return of lead vocalist Ivan Moody after a brief hiatus), Rob Zombie, and…drum roll please…Ozzy Osbourne with Zakk Wylde. Yes, you read that correctly – The Prince of Darkness himself will be at Louder Than Life 2017. Ozzy Osbourne is a multi-platinum recording artist, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and a three-time Grammy® winning singer and songwriter, who has sold more than 120 million albums worldwide. That performance alone will be worth the price of admission to the whole festival.

The Sunday lineup is just as jaw dropping with openers including Black Map, Badflower, Greta Van Fleet, Nothing More, In This Moment, The Pretty Reckless, and a band close to my heart because they are from my own state of Ohio – Beartooth. These bands had some of the biggest hits of 2017 and were packing venues across the nation. Then we get to the main events of Sunday night – Stone Sour, Rise Against, Incubus, and supergroup Prophets of Rage. This is a band that partnered with activists and social justice organizations during their electrifying inaugural North American tour and contributed a portion of the proceeds to the fight against hunger and homelessness, galvanizing fans in cities along the way. It’s no doubt going to be a momentous and memorable show.

In addition to the amazing lineup, the festival offers an amazing selection of “grub, bourbon, spirits, brews, and artist inspired drinks.” There are unique experiences available like The Music Experience which is an interactive exhibit that features all of the elements that are involved in making music in a professional band setting. The F.Y.E. Fan Experience where fans can buy music from the festival performers and be part of meet & greets/autograph signings is always a huge hit. There are also food and drink tasting experiences like Bourbon World, Jack Daniel’s Experience, Caduceus Wine Garden, and The Big Easy Boil (presented by Southern Comfort).

The whole festival is just chock full of fun things to see and do – and added with all of the amazing performances from some of the biggest artists in rock music and it is definitely an event you don’t want to miss.
