AUGUST 20, 2018 – LOS ANGELES, CA – Divided Heaven have premiered the music video for “Home for the Summer” exclusively with Pure Grain Audio. Watch HERE. The video was filmed with director Ryan Wilmott in Joshua Tree, California at The Clock Tower-the studio where Divided Heaven recorded their new album Cold War with owner, operator and producer, Charlie Stavish. Frontman Jeff Berman describes, “Ryan worked with us to capture a fun, simple and beautiful music video that serves as a nod to our favorite classic in-the-studio music videos by Tom Petty, Def Leppard & Saves The Day.” “Home for the Summer” is taken from Divided Heaven’s recently released album, Cold War, out now via Wiretap Records and Paper + Plastick Records. Vinylcan be purchased at http://wiretaprecords.com, and a limited edition vinyl and Dark Horse Coffee Roasters ‘Cold War Coffee Blend’ bundle is available at http://paperplastick.limitedrun.com. Divided Heaven is the brainchild of Jeff Berman-a singer/songwriter who started out in various punk and hardcore bands along the East Coast in the mid ’90s. These include ’77-rockers THE STATIKS, Philadelphia street-punk/Oi band THE BOILS, DC hardcore juggernaut V.P.R., NJ thrashers RITES and Florida hardcore troupe PROTAGONIST.
After moving to Los Angeles in 2009, Berman formed Divided Heaven and released their debut album, A Rival City, in 2011 and its follow-up, Youngblood, in 2014. Following this, Divided Heaven toured America, Europe and Asia, took part in the Vans Warped Tour, and supported everyone from Less Than Jake and Anti-Flag to Sundowner and Jonah Montranga.
Now, the band is back with their third LP, Cold War, released on 7/20. Produced by Charlie Stavish, Cold War displays the band’s softer, more contemplative side. “Cold War is (and was) meant to be different, all around,” says Berman. “It was recorded differently, written differently, and presented differently. It’s less singer-songwriter and more full-band; less a collection of songs and more of a cohesive group of songs. I simply can not waiting for people to hear it and feel it.”
