Megadeth absolutely killed it in Cincinnati! Photo’s of Megadeth and special guests Meshuggah and Tesseract!

Megadeth is on tour and WOW what a tour it is!

Special guests Meshuggah, Tesseract, and Lillake touring the United States with Megadeth this Summer!

The Megadeth tour stopped in Cincinnati, Ohio on Sunday July 2nd during the long 4th of July holiday weekend.  The show was at Riverbend Music Center’s PNC Pavilion.

Openers Lillake started the Sunday show off just right with some excellent metal music. Lillake is Nico Santora, Eric Moore, and Evan Brewer, Nico is best known for his guitar playing in Suicidal Tendencies.

Up next was Tesseract based out of the U.K. and on the road with Megadeth this summer. Tesseract was amazing!  I’ve never seen them before and they put on one hell of a show! Lead singer Daniel Tompkins took command of the stage and made me a new fan of their music.

Tesseract is Acle Kahney on guitar, James Monteith also on guitar, Jay Postones who was amazing to watch on the drums, Amos Williams on bass, and finally Daniel Tompkins on vocals.

Meshuggah was the final act to take the stage before Megadeth and oh my…. I’ve listened to Meshuggah before but again had never seen them live and they did not disappoint! The band hails from Sweden and has been around for a long time!  Lead singer Jens Kidman immediately steps up, grabs the mic, and starts to sing and growl.  Kidman looks so intense on stage, the stare, the looks, the anger, it’s all so perfect for this metal band!

Meshuggah is Jens Kidman on vocals, Fredrik Thorndenal on guitar, Mårten Hagström also on guitar, Tomas Hakke on drums, and Dick Lövgren on Bass.

The final act of the night, Megadeth took the stage and kicked things off with a nice long intro with drummer Dirk Verbeuren stepping up to the drums to fire things up.  Next guitarist Kiko Loureiro and bassist David Ellefson came out and started to jam, finally the man.. Dave Mustaine comes out and shows us all that he is still amazing as ever on guitar!  After the intro the guys slid right into playing Hanger 18, Skin O’ my Teeth, and She Wolf.  The set list was so kick ass!  Dave Mustaine and the crew from Megadeth were awesome to see live!  If the tour is coming to your town, get your tickets and go see this lineup!
