THE BREVET Gear Up For Next Leg of US Tour

Dates Kick Off In San Diego On July 19th

California-based rootsy rock/pop quintet THE BREVET are gearing up for the next leg of their summer tour! Starting on July 19th, the band will be taking on San Diego and Costa Mesa before making their way east to Arizona, Kentucky, Ohio, and Missouri. Catch the full list of dates below!

Last month The Brevet released Upholder: Chapter 3 (iTunes — Spotify), the final chapter of the band’s American Novel EP series. In addition to the EP being available on all digital music platforms, the band teamed up with PASTE MAGAZINE to premiere a video for the title track “Upholder“.

The band explains “Upholder”s inspiration and significance, saying:

“The song is meant to be a dialogue of people going through challenges and hard times. You don’t have to experience the exact same challenges in life to relate to one another. I think the song is meant to be a reminder that whatever you are going through in life you are not alone. The video was meant to focus more on the band and our live shows. We have grown so much over these past few years in our live performances and really wanted to showcase that in a creative way.”

The Brevet’s ambitious American Novel EP series began in 2014 with the release of American Novel: Chapter 1, followed up by Embers: Chapter 2, released during the summer of 2016. Showcasing The Brevet at their catchiest and most mature, Upholder is filled with unique Americana tinged songs that are both moody and perfect for the summertime thanks to massive hooks that are laden throughout.

On tour, The Brevet are selling a special American Novel vinyl record containing all 3 EP’s in one package. When speaking of Upholder: Chapter 3 being the final installation of their American Novel EP’s, the band says “For us, it’s much more about our journey as a band and the evolution of us creating music together. So, the Chapters are just stitching together parts of our writing journey. It’s great for us to look back at these chapters and see how we’ve grown, changed, and continued in making music we believe in.”

Forming in 2013, The Brevet burst onto the music scene with the release of their debut record Battle of the Heart. Ever since then, the band has landed high-profile placements throughout film and television, including “The Good Lie,” “Ashby,” “90210,” “Growing Up Fisher,” “American Idol,” “The MLB Network,” and more. They’ve also earned ink in Los Angeles Times, American Songwriter, and OC Weekly, among many others. The Brevet traditionally act out of their passion for and dedication to music.
