A monster tour made a stop in Columbus, Ohio on 7/18/17! Slayer, Lamb of God, and Behemoth!! This was a line-up I could not miss!!
Behemoth, a Polish extreme metal band from Gdańsk, kicked off this epic night with songs from throughout their 25-year history. Behemoth is considered to have played an important role in establishing the Polish extreme metal underground, and they were definitely well received by the Columbus crowd. I had never seen Behemoth before, but they put on an impressive show! Lead singer Nergal and the rest of the band came out painted up and looking ghostly which was visually very cool! Then the music started and I was hooked immediately on their sound! Not only was the music amazing, but the props they used on stage really helped set the dark tone for their performance!

Next to command the stage was Lamb of God! The sun was starting to set and lit up the stage perfectly for their performance. Randy Blythe stormed the stage and fired up this huge crowd with pure energy emanating from his voice. Lamb of God has been around since 1994, but their music is more powerful and relevant than ever! I’m a huge fan of Lamb of God and this show did not disappoint one bit!

Last but far from least was the almighty SLAYER!
Slayer has entertained millions of people for more than 35 years and has been named as one of the Big 4 along with Metallica, Anthrax, and Megadeth. Slayer started off with a huge curtain covering the stage. A light shone on the curtain blazoning the band’s symbol. Once the intro music started the crowd went into a complete frenzy! The curtain dropped and Slayer set out to destroy! Metal, lights, pyro! This show had it all. The band performed flawlessly and the crowd returned the favor by having a huge pit. The setlist included songs from all throughout the band’s remarkable history.
We managed to get some photo’s of the bands performance, check them out here!
