Don’t Believe In Ghosts premiered the video for their first single “Slow Down” off of their debut album GIVE IT MEANING on AlternativeNation.net today. “Slow Down” received immediate support from KBZT San Diego, KPOI Hawaii, WSFSMiami, WWYY Allentown PA, Music Choice and more!

Their self-produced debut album came out on June 30th via Forward Thinking and was a departure for lead singer Steven Nathan who spent the last 5 years recording and touring with his Indie rock band Man On Earth. “It was time to get back into the studio and explore some new sounds and emotions, it all just happened organically. Sixty new songs later it was time to start sharing some new sounds”says Nathan.
Much like the recording and mixing of ‘Give It Meaning’ the direction and editing of “Slow Down” was handled by singer Steven Nathan. “So many bands today really just imitate each others music videos and to my eyes that is a little boring. Right now I’m just more intrigued by classic films and stories than music videos I guess. I’m a big fan of great visual directors like Wes Anderson, Stanley Krubick and so many of the French New Wave films that inspired them. All of that was a huge influence on this obviously, In fact, there are many nods to some classic films throughout the video. We shot this at a friends childhood home and since the first day I stepped in there I knew I had to one day film something in this house, it’s absolutely incredible. It’s almost a mix between a time capsule and a fantasy world” says Steven Nathan. In addition to videos for Don’t Believe In Ghosts, Nathan has directed a number of music videos for other recording artists.
