Brighter Than A Thousand Suns Releases Music Video For “What’s Inside”

(August 17th, 2017) – Imminence Management Group’s synth-rock/post-hardcore outfit Brighter Than A Thousand Suns has finally premiered their brand new music video. “What’s Inside” is the second single and music video from the recently released EP entitled The Way Out.

When writing “What’s Inside”, I was thinking a lot about alienation and how, in the name of acceptance, we often live our lives as the people others wish us to be, squelching and squandering a lot of our potential. Nathaniel Branden once said “Do not allow anyone to tell you for what purpose you should live. To be happy and fulfilled, you do need a purpose, but let it rise out of who you are.” This song is our anthem to that idea.” – Randy Roswell (Guitars/Programming/Synthesizers)

About Brighter Than A Thousand Suns:

When Brighter Than A Thousand Suns first changed their name from Self Made Soul in 2010, they had no idea of the considerable journey they were about to embark on. Originally starting with a post-hardcore sound, they quickly caught the attention of Tragic Hero Records. The partnership yielded the band’s 2011 full-length entitled Survival Machines and led the group on some national tours and gracing the pages of Alternative Press, Revolver, Rock Sound and more. After their partnership with Tragic Hero Records, the band gradually shifted away from their straight-up post-hardcore roots to incorporating more of an 80’s synth rock sound to accompany their darker, aggressive side. During that period, releasing two EPs and a host of singles, the band used the shift in genres to learn how to be better songwriters and grow musically. As members came and went, the core of the band has always stayed the same: the husband and wife duo of Angelika and Randy Roswell.

While their musical path partly brought them to where they are now, the duo’s move from their lifelong home of Connecticut to North Carolina was the key catalyst to Brighter Than A Thousands Suns developing an interesting and new sonic approach. They used their heavier roots and incorporated the electronic rock elements that they had been known for more recently to create the sound that is heard on their latest EP entitled The Way Out, to be released June 9th. While growing and expanding as musicians, the band’s lyrical content also shifted. While older releases have lyrics that touched on philosophy, science-based literature and historical events, the band has moved into more personal topics as they started to deal with the real-life events and emotional struggles surrounding them. The Way Outis titled as such because it reflects the band beginning to see a light out of that struggle.
