PUCK HCKY (www.puckhcky.com) – the custom hockey apparel brand dominating music merchandise – have recently partnered with an exciting mix of artists, such as Snoop Dogg(who recently sported his PUCK HCKY brand hat on Jimmy Kimmel Live), Testament and OverkillPUCK HCKY are thrilled to expand further with the joining of thrash legends Exodus and heavy metal newcomers Gruesome. In addition, PUCK HCKY plans to add partnerships with artists such as MeshuggahDarkest Hour, Toothgrinder, Less Than Jakeand others in the coming months, as well as music labels and other brands.
The Exodus “Bonded by Puck” collection is designed around the band’s favorite sports teams. In the hockey world, Exodus loves the Calgary Flames and Philadelphia Flyers. Fittingly, the Bonded By Blood jersey is classic Flames style, and the Fabulous Disaster jerseys (two colorways) have that Philly spirit. Exodus also tasked PUCK HCKY with crossing hockey over with their other favorite sports. The Piranha jersey brings in a little football, as it’s done up in 49ers colors, and The Warrior jersey gives props to reigning champs of the NBA, the Golden State Warriors. Fun fact: The Warrior is also the same jersey worn by the Hanson Brothers in Slapshot! All of the jerseys, as well as the Toxic Waltz flannels in this collection sport a patch based on their legendary song of the same name, if you look closely, you’ll find two players ready to “waltz it up”. Each jersey and select flannels also feature the “Bonded by Puck” patch which commemorates the collaboration and pays tribute to the San Francisco Giants.
The Gruesome “Skate Savage Play Savage” collection celebrates old school Death Metal. The Demonized jersey design harkens back to the 80’s and 90’s Death Metal scene, with a brand new hockey make-over. While the Bronx Bomber jersey pays homage to band favorite, the New York Yankees.
Both lines feature not only hockey jerseys, but also several different colored hoodies and flannels. See below for images of selections from the individual Exodus and Gruesome collections and visit www.puckhcky.com to see every design:

Matt Marini, CEO of PUCK HCKY says: “Well it certainly doesn’t get any more legendary than adding the mighty Exodus to the PUCK HCKY roster! Everyone knows that you can’t have any discussion about Bay Area thrash without starting with Exodus. The guys are very proud of their home and we worked hard to reflect that in the designs. The “Bonded by Puck” collection is here! We are also super-pumped to add a newer, but no less heavy band in Gruesome! We totally dig that Gruesome pays tribute to old-school death metal with their look and sound. The “Skate Savage Play Savage” collection is also here!”

Exodus
guitarist Gary Holt adds: “Hella stoked to be collaborating with PUCK HCKY. This is what Paul Baloff is wearing right now while he is beating posers with his hockey stick mic stand in Hell.”
Thrash architects Exodus are celebrating 32 years since the release of their first album, thrash metal’s classic blueprint Bonded By Blood. Keeping with that tradition, Exodus was joined by their original guitarist, Metallica’s Kirk Hammett, on their most recent release Blood In, Blood Out (2014). In its first week, Blood In, Blood Out doubled the first week sales of their most previous full-length release, in addition to securing their highest charting position ever – #38 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, as well as #2 on the Hard Rock/Metal chart and #6 on the Independent Albums chart. Blood In, Blood Out gained a strong foothold in European countries by topping several first-week international charts, as well as landing at #6 on Canada’s Hard Music chart. The band is currently gearing-up for the Battle of the Bays tour which kicks off September 14 and runs through October 16, as well as writing the follow up to Blood In, Blood Out.

Gruesome
‘s Matt Harvey adds: “We’re very excited to be working with the fine folks at PUCK HCKY to come up with some truly gruesome jerseys! We collaborated to come up with some killer designs – check ’em out and get some blood on the ice!”

Gruesome
originated from guitarist/vocalist Matt Harvey and drummer Gus Rios’ mutual involvement with the DEATH TO ALL tours (Harvey serving as frontman for the original nine-member mini-tour and Rios performing Baptized In Blood and working with DTA drummer Sean Reinert on the following US tour where Exhumed filled in as support on a few dates). The pair stayed in touch and after discussing and discarding the idea of putting together another incarnation of DTA to focus exclusively on the first two albums, Harvey half-jokingly suggested writing their own songs in that vein. It wasn’t long before the idea gained traction, and the “band” had five songs written. With Harvey writing in California, Rios recruited Possessed guitarist Daniel Gonzalez and Derkéta bassist Robin Mazen to record the material in Florida, while Harvey tracked his vocals on the west coast. The result is a truly gruesome slab of late-80s / early 90s “Florida Death Metal” that specifically celebrates the early Deathrecords. Tragically, there will never be any truly new Death material, but Gruesome is humbly determined to keep the band’s classic sound alive as faithfully as possible.

The current PUCK HCKY team roster includes Snoop Dogg, Testament, Overkill, ExodusGruesome, Hed PE, David Ellefson of MegadethAll Hail The YetiDoyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, Monster Truck, Ice Guardians movie, 36 Crazyfists, First Jason (Friday the 13th), Tomas Tatar (Detroit Red Wings), Marian Hossa (Chicago Blackhawks), Calvin Pickard (Colorado Avalanche), Eric Comrie (Winnipeg Jets) and Thom Hazaert.
