This news comes on the heels of this month long residency being postponed to late January and early February due to a serious issue to Murphy’s vocal cords. Murphy also released a new video for his fans surrounding his recovery, stating that “the nodules they removed have been transferred to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to be framed.” You can view the entire video, here: https://youtu.be/PlvL1PsOJgk

The Chapel is so happy that Peter is back and stronger than ever, and cannot wait to host this extra special, one-of-a-kind residency with him,” said Fred Barnes, General Manager of The Chapel. “Now with the announcement of David’s involvement for three shows of legendary Bauhaus material, we simply could not be more thrilled than to add this very special extra element to an already unique and incredible career spanning residency of one of England’s greatest and most singular musical exports, Peter Murphy.”

About Peter Murphy
First emerging from the British punk and rock underground in the late 70s, Murphy (along with bandmates Daniel Ash, David J and Kevin Haskins) fronted the groundbreaking iconic rock band Bauhaus which spawned four iconoclastic and ultra-seminal albums as well as keystone singles “She’s In Parties”, “Silent Hedges”, and, of course, “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” before disbanding in 1983. Murphy launched a successful solo career that has yielded ten solo albums so far, including his latest LION, released in 2014. Murphy also released the live album Bare-Boned and Sacred on March 2017 through Metropolis Records, which was recorded in New York City on his Strippped tour.

The Chapel is a live music venue, restaurant, and neighborhood bar located in the heart of the Mission District. The Chapel occupies an historic 1914 building that was originally built as a mortuary and has now been stunningly renovated. The beautiful chapel with its 40-foot high arched ceiling has been converted to a music room with mezzanine, while the rest of the building has been remodeled to hold a restaurant, neighborhood bar, and an outdoor dining patio.
About David J
David John Haskins, better known as David J, is a British alternative rock musician, producer, artist and writer.
