The Make America Rock Again Tour visited Lima, Ohio on 9/19/17 bringing several top rock acts along for the ride. This year’s line-up brought headliner Scott Stapp, Drowning Pool, Sick Puppies, Trapt, and Adelitas Way. This stop of the tour was at the Historic Ohio Theater in Lima, Ohio and you could tell by the huge crowd that everyone was happy to see some rock n’ roll in their town! After speaking to many people at the show, everyone seemed to be extremely impressed with all of the artists and thankful to have bands like this line-up visit their town.
First up on this great night of rock music was Adelitas Way. Adelitas Way hails from Las Vegas Nevada and has been on what seems to be a non-stop tour for the past few years! Adelitas Way led by singer Rick Dejesus started off the show with a bang and continued to rock the crowd with great music including their current hit “Notorious”.

Next on stage was Trapt. Trapt has been doing their thing in the rock ‘n roll business for quite a long time, but don’t let that fool you! Trapt’s original front man Chris Taylor Brown took the stage and immediately continued this show on it’s fury of sound. Trapt’s sound was excellent and sounded just like the Trapt I remember! They played some of their hits including fan favorite “Headstrong” before closing out their set.

The Third band on this KILLER line-up was Sick Puppies! This was only my second time seeing Sick Puppies and man I really enjoy their live set a lot! Having only 3 band members does not limit the sound that Sick Puppies brings to their live show ONE BIT! Sick Puppies lead singer, Bryan Scott, brings a very good voice and fun animated faces throughout the set. Bassist Emma Anzai is just electric to watch, she somehow manages to hit every note on her bass guitar while moving around the stage constantly!

The final band to take the stage before headliner Scott Stapp was the mighty Drowning Pool! Lead singer Jason Moreno took the stage with a huge smile and encouraged everyone to get LOUD! The crowd most definitely responded with cheers! Moreno hopped off the stage and stood right in front of fans singing while slapping hands and making everyone up front very excited! Drowning Pool’s guitarist C.J. Pierce was awesome to watch as well and boy can he multi-task, jumping, spinning, singing backup, and not missing a beat! Drowning Pool then lit the crowd up to the loudest cheers thus far by dropping their hit song “Bodies”. Drowning Pool definitely is a band to catch if visiting your area!

Lastly the headliner, Scott Stapp took the stage! After a night of nonstop great music there was still more to come! Scott Stapp for those who do not know was the lead singer of the band Creed. Scott’s voice has not changed one bit from my recollection of his songs with Creed. His band backing him up performed flawlessly, playing Scott’s new songs and a bunch of Creed hits as well. The crowd all sang along when former Creed hits such as “With Arms Wide Open”, and “Higher” were performed. Scott and his band had a great energy and really brought the show to an excellent close. The night was one to remember for the fans in Lima, Ohio for sure!
