INDECISION TO MOVE OUT 11/17

AUSTIN, TX | OCTOBER 20, 2017 – Based in the heart of Texas, Home Above are a pop/rock unit mixed with punk elements consisting of Kevin Quintero (vocals/bass), Cameron Brickell (vocals/guitar), Gaven McNaney (guitar), and Davis Dillon III (drums). Stemming off their debut release, If Anything Will in June 2016, Home Above have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with heavy-hitters like Turnover, Hawthorne Heights, and You Me And Everyone We Know along with performances at SXSW and So What?! Music Festival. This year, they are gearing up for their debut full-length entitled Indecision To Move, due out November 17, 2017. Recorded, mixed, and mastered at Megolodon Studios under the direction of Kevin Franklin, the 10-track record details the effervescent lives of each member as they walk the journey through life. Each track tackles the hurdles one may face in moments of transition to the beauty of self-discovery. They continue,
“A prevalent theme in the record is one of self discovery and self motivation – the idea that your life is only going to turn out how you want it to if you make it so. Time will not wait up for you, your life won’t wait up for you – you have to go after whatever it is you hope to achieve. There will be bumps along the road, sure, but at least you’re actually traveling down a path rather than being stagnant. The record emphasizes this, and encourages you to make your own decision to move.”

Off the debut full-length, Indecision To Move, comes “The Start,” a song about heartbreak and the tumultuous moments of trying to move forward. Today the band has partnered with New Noise Magazine to unleash their accompanying music video. Fans can watch the music video here! The band continues to expand on the song by stating,

“This guy broke up with this girl and it’s about him living his life trying to move forward, but still missing that special someone. There is no real reason as to why they broke up. This was intentional in my writing to keep it vague and relative. As he goes through life, he thinks about her and what she’s doing. He finds himself desperately missing her and wishes to be her companion, but things happen over time and he just can’t win. 10 years is significant to the idea that time changes everything and a lot can happen over the course of just 10 years. This song also has no resolution, or end for the sake of perspective. Putting the audience in a position to just “move on” from the song just like the character in this song.”

Today the band has exclusively partnered with PureGrainAudio.com to release a brand new single entitled “Shouldn’t Try.” The band had the following to say about the track:

“This track is our anthem of life at the time this record came together. The majority of us were at a job we hated, in financial prison (It seemed like) and everybody had their own ideas of how our lives should be lived. This track is us standing up to that environment of backseat-driving and instead advocating for living how YOU want and not trying so hard to fit into a cliche.”
