Incendiary political rap rock band BACKWORDZ have dropped the video for “ Stathiest” from their debut album Veracity, out now via Stay Sick Recordings.Watch it here.
“Considering today’s political climate, it made sense to put a visual to this track,” the band said. “There are those that claim to reject religion, while having a religious cling to the State; there are also those that spit in the face of their God by worshiping the State as if it is one. The objective of the track isn’t to piss you off, it is to make you think and reevaluate your perception of government.”
ICYMI:
Over the summer, the band issued its cover of Linkin Park‘s “Waiting for the End,” which lives on the band’s 2010 album A Thousand Suns. The cover was the band’s way of paying homage to late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington, who passed away on July 20 at age 41. Watch the BACKWORDZ version of the powerful track here.
