A country-pop singer and songwriter out of Knoxville, Tennessee, Kelsea Ballerini started writing songs when she was 13 years old, began learning guitar a year later, and moved to Nashville at 15 to pursue her dream of being a professional singer and songwriter. Four years later in 2013, when she was 19, Ballerini signed a publishing deal with Black River Publishing and a recording deal with Black River Entertainment later that same year. A debut single, “Love Me Like You Mean It,” appeared from the label in 2014; the single slowly became a big hit, reaching number five on the Billboard country singles charts and number one on its country airplay charts. A digital EP, simply titled Kelsea Ballerini, was released in November 2014, and as word about Ballerini spread, she was named one of 2014’s Next Women of Country by CMT and appeared on the Grand Ol’ Opry for the first time on February 13, 2015. In May 2015, Black River released Ballerini’s first full-length album, The First Time; it debuted at four on Billboard‘s U.S. country charts and 31 on the Billboard Top 200, eventually going gold. In June 2017, Ballerini released “Legends,” the first single from her follow-up LP.Official Website: www.kelseaballerini.com

This new set will include all-time favorites, fresh rarities spanning their epic career, and spur-of-the-moment improvisations that will delight even their exhausted road crew. To be direct: this show is not to be missed. They Might be Giants’ has always been dedicated to keeping each performance a high-volume celebration of the band’s original music. It’s always spontaneous and occasionally ribald (that means just for adults, everybody! No kids admitted!), and now for the first time, they’re on a full tour with show-stopping trumpet genius Curt Ramm (Nile Rogers, Bruce Springsteen). PromoWest Productions and Coors Light Presents Gaelic Storm
WHEN: February 23, 2018
WHERE: Newport Music Hall – COLUMBUS, OHIO
DOORS: 7:30pm
COST: $23.00 Advance/$25.00 Day of Show
ON-SALE: November 1
BIO:
It’s hard to imagine a band just coming into their own after 20 years of success, but that’s exactly what makes a true anomaly. This multi-national, Celtic juggernaut grows stronger with each live performance, and as you can imagine, after two decades and over 2000 shows, it is a true force to be reckoned with. With their latest release, Go Climb a Tree, their music has never sounded more representative of themselves as musicians and as live performers. The band attributes their continued success to their fanatic audience, and it’s a well-diversified crowd for sure. Celtic fans love their devotion to tradition, and the rockers simply relish the passion they play their instruments with.
Gaelic Storm takes a true blue-collar, hard-nose approach to touring, consistently traveling the US and internationally over 200 days a year, forging a unique path in the Celtic music world. The dedication to live shows date all the way back to the mid-1990s, when Gaelic Storm kicked off its career as a pub band in Santa Monica, California. Due to their discovery at the pub, by the end of the decade, the musicians had appeared in the blockbuster film Titanic (where they performed “Irish Party in Third Class”). This laid the groundwork for a career that would eventually find them topping the Billboard World Chart six times, making appearances at mainstream music festivals, and regularly headlining the largest Irish Festivals across the country, all the while gaining a reputation as a genre-bending Irish rock band, whose songs mix Celtic traditions with something uniquely creative.
Looking to the future, Gaelic Storm is excited about what lies ahead. They’ve added a new fiddle player, Katie Grennen, and she has affectionately become the “purple squirrel” of the band, meaning she is the perfect new addition. Pete Purvis who joined the band in 2005 said, “With the addition of Katie, the band has never sounded better, we’re gelling on a whole new level, and the idea of sharing these new songs with our fans is exciting!”

PromoWest Productions and Coors Light Presents Brian Fallon &The Howling Weather w/ Caitlin Rose

WHERE: Newport Music Hall – COLUMBUS, OHIO
DOORS: 7:00pm
COST: $22.00 Advance/$25.00 Day of Show

BIO:
Fallon – accompanied by his high-energy backing band, The Howling Weather – will celebrate the announcement of SLEEPWALKERS with a sold out pair of limited capacity live dates. SLEEPWALKERS sees Brian Fallon once again pushing timeless rock ‘n’ roll into the modern era, recasting British Invasion rock, first generation UK punk, and American pop and soul into a near irresistible sound he’s dubbed – with a nod and a wink towards The Who – as “Heavy R&B.” Recorded earlier this year at New Orleans’ Parlor Recording Studio with producer Ted Hutt – the man behind the board for The Gaslight Anthem’s 2008 breakthrough, THE ’59 SOUND – the album is yet another sterling example of Fallon’s always adventurous artistry, this time fueled by the New Jersey-based tunesmith’s interest in the Vox Continental, the distinctive organ used by favorite artists spanning The Animals and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers to The Specials and Elvis Costello and the Attractions. As emotionally powerful as it is musically exultant, SLEEPWALKERS is Brian Fallon at the very top of his game, now as ever pushing and kicking the rock ‘n’ soul sounds he grew up on into the future.
Known far and wide as singer/guitarist of The Gaslight Anthem, as well as such outfits as The Horrible Crowes and Molly & The Zombies, Fallon made his solo debut with 2015’s masterful PAINKILLERS. The album – which includes the hit singles, “A Wonderful Life” and “Painkillers” – drew widespread critical applause upon its release, with Entertainment Weekly acclaiming Fallon as “a first-rate songwriter with a dozen tunes that wax philosophical about love and the human condition.

Vibrant indie pop ensemble Joe Hertler & the Rainbow Seekers formed in 2010 in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Hertler, a student at Central Michigan University at the time, began performing his songs acoustically around mid-Michigan, collecting bandmates along the way. Splitting time between his songwriter and DJ’ing electronic sets, Hertler’s eclectic influences can be heard in his band’s diverse sound, which pulls elements from folk, funk, ’90s R&B, soul, and dynamic indie pop. After a handful of solo acoustic efforts, Hertler teamed up with bassist/producer Kevin Pritchard and a newly expanded crew to record the first release under the Rainbow Seekers banner, 2011’s On Being. They spent the next couple of years touring and gigging the Midwestern festival circuit, eventually relocating to Lansing, Michigan. Shortly before completing work on their second album, they were picked up by Universal affiliate Bad Mascot Records. Their sophomore LP, Terra Incognita, was released in early 2015.Official Website: www.joehertler.com
