STONE BROKEN ADDRESS THE REALITIES OF DOMESTIC ABUSE IN NEW SINGLE “HEARTBEAT AWAY”

SECOND ALBUM AIN’T ALWAYS EASY OUT ON MARCH 2, 2018

Stone Broken, who have joined forces with Spinefarm Records, will drop their second studio album, Ain’t Always Easy, on March 2.

The band has released a new single, “Heartbeat Away,” from the forthcoming album. Listen here.

“Heartbeat Away” is a deeply personal song for Stone Broken frontperson and lyricist Rich Moss; the single tackles the subject of domestic abuse, suggesting that the realities need to be discussed more openly and addressed immediately.

“The subject of ‘Heartbeat Away’ is a little closer to home than most of the other songs I have written,” Moss said. “Seeing the impact that domestic violence has on a person you are close to and the way it affects the people around them isn’t a very nice thing to experience. I thought it was time to shine a light on something that usually happens behind closed doors, hidden away from the rest of the world. When people listen to this song, I think they will know that it’s personal and that I mean every word.”

The new album, produced and mixed by Romesh Dodangoda at Long Wave Recording Studios in South Wales, sees the UK rockers further honing their innate ability to match musical and emotional weight to truly telling effect; the vision is broad, the song-writing skillful, the riffs ‘n’ choruses both memorable and mighty.

Check out the previously released song “Worth Fighting For.”
