Doing some “Psychic Warfare” with CLUTCH on NYE in Columbus, Ohio! Photos and Review!

This is my second time bringing in a New Year with Clutch and man do they just consistently deliver on the live show! This New Year’s Eve show took place in Columbus, Ohio at Express Live.  I arrived in time to catch The Obsessed who I thought had really good, bluesy, soulful rock sound!  The other band was The Devin Townsend Project who I had never seen and put on a really great performance!

The headliner for the night taking us into 2018 with some kick ass music was Clutch!  Clutch has been around since the 90’s but their music is more relevant now than ever!  Not only is Clutch a great band to put on while in the car and rock out to, they are a kick ass live act!  Neil Fallon (lead singer) is always super active on stage, constantly moving around and gesturing to the crowd.  The guys kicked off the night playing “Pure Rock Fury” and then rolled into “The House That Peterbuilt”.  It was a non stop powerful rock show!  Clutch led us up to midnight and then into 2018 playing their hit’s “Crucial Velocity”, “Wolfman”, and many others.

This show was the last on their current run and the band just dropped a hint on Twitter that they are in the studio working on new music! Stay tuned, I’m sure there will be some news soon!

Band Members:
Neil Fallon-Vocals/Guitar, Jean-Paul Gaster-Drums, Dan Maines-Bass, Tim Sult-Guitar
