St Louis, MO alternative rock band New Lingo are debuting a music video for “Swoon” today on Substream. Stream the video at: https://substreammagazine.com/2018/03/premiere-new-lingo-swoon/. Singer Joe Glenk tells Substream: “This song is about that moment when you are with someone special and things just click the first time. It’s about going against your head, all of the warning signs of what can go wrong and following your heart into love.” The track will appear on the band’s upcoming 3rd EP, ‘Beloved,’ which is set to be released on April 28th. Pre-order ‘Beloved’ at: http://newlingostl.com/. ‘Beloved’ was produced by Nick Ingram (Courage My Love, City Lights, Hawthorne Heights), at Capital House Studio in Ohio, and the songs were mixed and mastered by Kris Crummett (Sleeping With Sirens, Issues, Dance Gavin Dance). About New Lingo: New Lingo formed in 2013. They can be described as a mixture of indie and pop alternative rock. Shortly after the band’s formation, they had the privilege of playing the St. Louis Warped Tour. They have since gone on to open for well-known acts such as, Hands Like Houses, He Is Legend, Set It Off, Silverstein, I the Mighty, and Dance Gavin Dance, to name a few. New Lingo recorded with STL local, Matthew Amelung at Encapsulated Studios for their first 2 EP’s, Feral Youth (2014) and Best Friends (2016). To support their Best Friends release New Lingo released 2 music videos, “Violent Shakes” and “Part Of Me”. The video for “Part of Me” spread quickly through social media and has since accumulated almost 200K views on Facebook. The release of their Best Friends EP led to interest from some notable record labels. Keeping the buzz going, they embarked on a west coast tour. After returning home they continued to stay busy playing in the St. Louis area, along with out of state shows on the weekends.
