Ministry brought a power-packed show to Cincinnati, Ohio on April 10th, 2018 at Bogarts!

Ministry is currently on tour in support of their most recent album “Amerikkkant” which was released on March 9th.  Ministry has always had Al Jourgensen at the helm and he has one hell of a set of musicians performing on tour with him!  Sin Quirin – guitar, Cesar Soto – guitar, Tony Campos – bass from Fear Factory and Static X, Derek Abrams on drums, John Bechdel – keyboards from Killing Joke, DJ Swamp from Crystal Method and Beck – DJ, and Burton C. Bell from Fear Factory, delivering vocals on a few songs.

As the time approached for Ministry to take the stage, the crowd gazed upon a set filled with with numerous colored TV’s strewn about and a large screen anchored in the background . One by one the band members came on stage as the screen in the background displayed Trump and the band sprang to life with, “I Know Words” which repeats a slow motion sample of Trump saying “We will make America great again”. “Twilight Zone” was the first opportunity the crowd had to see front man Al work his way out and play the harmonica into his array of bones and microphones at the center of the stage.

Next up was Burton C. Bell’s chance to wield the the microphone and lead the band into the song “Victims of a Clown”.  Burton was fired up, shaking his fists and lunging at the crowd while he belted this killer tune! All the while, the screen in the background had the crowd chanting with Burton, “WAKE UP, TAKE IT IN, EXHALE, REPEAT, FIRE UP, FREAK OUT, LET IT GO!”

By the 3rd song not only was Ministry obviously warmed up and ready to go but so were the fans!  Ministry tore into their set at this point with “Punch in the Face” and then one of my favorites “Senor Peligro”. As the night wore on the power of Ministry’s music resonated with fans of new and old.  The latter half of the set featured some of my favorite tunes from Ministry of the 90’s such as, “Just One Fix”, “N.W.O”, “Thieves”, and probably my all time favorite Ministry song, “So What”.

The power and energy of Ministry is alive and well in 2018!  The new album “AmeriKKKant” and this tour are on fire!  Make sure you don’t miss the chance to check out Ministry live!
