The lineup for 2018’s Music Taste Good has been revealed! The mammoth two-day music, food, and arts festival returns to Marina Green Park, along the picturesque Downtown Long Beach shoreline, on September 29 and 30th, and will be headlined by none other than iconic British New Wave legends New Order (Saturday) making their only west coast appearance this year, and Grammy-nominated and Mercury Prize-winning English singer-songwriter James Blake (Sunday). Rounding out the monumental Saturday lineup is influential Canadian indie rock collective Broken Social Scene performing their critically-acclaimed masterpiece You Forgot It In People, plus Joey Bada$$, Santigold, Lil B, Princess Nokia, Blake Mills, Big Thief, Cherry Glazerr, Oliver Tree, Shame, Los Master Plus, Quintron & Miss Pussycat, NO BS! Brass Band, Radiolistener: Tribute to Isaiah “Ikey” Owens, Feels, Forest of Tongue, Neighbor Lady, BLCKNOISE, Haunted Summer and Manuel The Band. Sunday’s bill is equally stacked, with performances by: The Black Angels, Lizzo, Parquet Courts, The Church performing their fan favorite album Starfish to celebrate it’s 30th Anniversary, Sun Kil Moon, Bill Callahan, Hollie Cook, Hailu Mergia, Ezra Furman, Ladama, The Blow, De Lux, Ethio Cali, B.A.G. (Blimes x Gifted Gab), The Fling, Baum, Hana Vu, Asi Fui and NO BS! Brass Band. Returning to the festival for year three is an expanded and more inclusive Taste Tent with the theme “Port Cities of the West Coast,” which will offer all attendees (not just VIPs) a chance to immerse their taste buds in culinary samplings from some of the best coast’s most talented and acclaimed chefs and restaurants, including: Wesley Young of Vancouver’s Pidgin, Jeffery Vance of Seattle’s No Anchor, Cameron Hanin on Seattle’s Ma’Ono, Pat Manning of Portland’s Toro Bravo, Rachel Aronow, independent (formerly of San Francisco’s Alembic), Sincere Justice of Oakland’s Tacos Sincero, Edward Martinez of Sacramento’s Milk Money, Michael Thiemann of Sacramento’s Mother, Dawna Bass of Long Beach’s Under the Sun, Jason Witzl of Long Beach’s Ellie’s, Aliye Aydin of Long Beach’s A Good Carrot, Dina Amadril of Long Beach Creamery, Arthur Gonzales of Long Beach’s Roe/Panxa Cocina, Christine Rivera of San Diego’s Galaxy Tacos, and Nancy Leon of Tijuana B.C.S.’s Chan’s Bistro. |
