Plans To Conquer North America Next With Continental Tour

Australia’s favorite duo PEKING DUK returned to the international music scene with a vengeance just a week and a half ago with the release of their two singles “Fire” and “Distant Arizona” which were combined in the epic Tarantino-inspired Spaghetti Western video, REPRISAL.

Celebrating a blockbuster week in their native Australia, “Fire” was the second most added track to Australian radio, streamed over 950,000 times, broke into the Australian Spotify Top 50 and hit #11 on the iTunes chart.  In addition, the duo was announced as the pre-game entertainment for the first State of Origin Rugby League match, one of Australia’s biggest sporting events of the year. The set will be played out on June 6th in front of 90,000 people live with a TV audience of over 4 million.

For their North American fans, Peking Duk has announced a U.S. tour, kicking off on June 13that NYC’s Highline Ballroom and circling the continent including shows at DC’s Union Stage (June 15), LA’s The Roxy (June 20), Vancouver’s Venue (June 30), Boston’s Brighton Music Hall (July 5), and concluding at Seattle’s Crocodile (July 14). Their fully live show has received critical acclaim as they continue their biggest Australian tour to date, so their North American fans should brace themselves.

TheMusic.com.au  reports about their live show: “To witness Peking Duk live is not an experience for the musically faint-hearted – to remain still is out of the question. From start to finish the electronic duo pushed their audience with reverberating bass, reactive lighting, and on-point sampling combined with original tracks.
