FAILURE HEADQUARTERS, Calif., — Failure release Your Body Will Be EP, the second EP in a three-part series of EPs, culminating with a full-length album this fall.

“We thought we’d try something a little different this time,” explains Ken Andrews of the band’s unconventional approach to releasing their fifth album. “As a lot of you know we’re not really known for making albums quickly, it takes us a while, usually over a year. This time, instead of having all of that time between albums, we thought ‘Why don’t we just release sections of the albums as we finish them?’”

The band released In The Future, the first EP of the series, on March 30. A video for the track “Dark Speed” (https://youtu.be/NzC8fyC4j_g), which features “Blade Runner 2049” actor David Dastmalchian, arrived simultaneously. Alternative Press said of the four-song offering: “From the terse motorik of ‘Dark Speed’ to the Pink Floyd worship of ‘Pennies’ to the layered ambiance of ‘Segue 10,’ Failure are plotting alluring sonic adventures in an age of seeming indifference.”
Pre-orders, including special offerings and bundles, are available viapledgemusic.com/projects/failure-lp5, with subscriptions for the full series of releases available via failurebandmerch.com. The EP was produced by Failure and mixed by Ken Andrews.
Failure’s most recent album, The Heart Is A Monster, arrived in June 2015. The 18-track collection was hailed by fans and critics alike for “brilliantly picking up from whereFantastic Planet left off” (Rolling Stone) and serving as “a stark reminder of why the bandhave been so influential but it also underscores their status as modern trailblazers” (Alternative Press). Pitchfork dubbed it “a thrilling ride” while Entertainment Weeklydescribed the album as “a jaw-dropping slab of throbbing, fuzzy, visceral space rock.”
