New Politics is partnering with Music Saves Lives on their upcoming fall tour, in an effort to spread awareness about the need for bone marrow donors.

Music Saves Lives will be running an ON-LINE Virtual drive with the bone marrow registration organization DKMS (www.DKMS.org).

Fans that register at MusicSavesLives.org/NewPolitics, will be entered to win a special “VIP Upgrade” with a purchased ticket to any of their upcoming shows. One winner and their guest will be announced 3 days before the tour hits that city.

Fact: Matching a donor with someone in need is simple, but only one in one million have a chance to match. A simple cheek cell sample is collected during registration. A sample is tested for the HLA tissue type and then added to the national marrow registry, so doctors can search and find matching donor for their patient.

For over 12 years the nonprofit organization, Music Saves Lives has encouraged over 1 million blood donations and blood donation goes hand in hand with registering for the bone marrow program. Marrow transplants and stem cell transplants can save those fighting all types of blood cancers.
