DAUGHTERS ANNOUNCE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR FOR 2019 YOU WON’T GET WHAT YOU WANT AVAILABLE NOW “It’s become pretty common for beloved bands to reunite and make good albums again, but it’s still rare for bands to reunite and make something that may very well be their best album, and that’s exactly what Daughters have done.” – Brooklyn Vegan “These hardcore miscreants never seemed like a band suited for reunions, so their first album in eight years reimagines their prior intensity with blown-out, abstracted menace.” – Pitchfork “If heavy music is supposed to be scary, Daughters have elevated it to an invigorating new level.” – Rolling Stone |

Nov. 16, 2018, Providence, R.I. – Daughters, the Rhode Island-based noisemakers who are currently wrapping up a sold-out tour of select cities following the release of their new album, You Won’t Get What You Want, have announced a full North American trek for early 2019. “Thank you to everyone who has made this return not only successful but thoroughly enjoyable,” said singer Alexis Marshall. “We are very excited to continue on, revisit some familiar places and return to others after a long hiatus. Love.” The tour announcement comes on the heels of the release of the band’s fourth album and first new offering in eight years, You Won’t Get What You Want. The 11-song collection has quickly become one of 2018’s most well-received albums, with fans and critics worldwide marveling at Daughters’ bold return. In addition to praise from Stateside outlets like Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Revolver, Brooklyn Vegan and others, Canada’s Exclaim Magazine said the album is “By far their most dynamic offering, Daughters have pulled off one of the great comeback albums and further cemented themselves as a band with such singular creativity that they’re nearly peerless.” Classic Rock (UK) echoed those thoughts, saying “Daughters have never sounded so strong and they’ve never got it so right.” Daughters tour dates: November 17 Chicago, IL Beat Kitchen SOLD OUT November 18 Chicago, IL Beat Kitchen SOLD OUT February 16 Philadelphia, PA Union Transfer February 17 Washington, DC Black Cat February 19 Asheville, NC Mothlight February 20 Atlanta, GA Masquerade (Hell) February 21 Nashville, TN Mercy Lounge February 22 Louisville, KY Zanzabar February 23 St. Louis, MO FUBAR February 24 Oklahoma City, OK 89th St February 26 Dallas, TX Curtain Club February 27 Austin, TX Barracuda March 1 Phoenix, AZ Rebel Lounge March 2 Los Angeles, CA The Regent March 5 Denver, CO Gothic Theatre March 7 St. Paul, MN Turf Club March 8 Chicago, IL Bottom Lounge March 9 Detroit, MI Loving Touch March 10 Toronto, ON Lee’s Palace March 11 Montreal, QC La Sala Rosa March 12 Boston, MA Sinclair March 13 New York, NY Warsaw April 5 St. Petersburg, Russia Mod Club April 6 Moscow, Russia Pravda Club April 8 Munich, Germany Backstage Concerts April 9 Stuttgart, Germany Juha West April 10 Paris, France Point Ephemere April 11 Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, Belgium Le Botanique April 12 Berlin, Germany Cassiopeia Club April 13 Hamburg, Germany Hafenklang April 14 Tilburg, Netherlands Roadburn April 15 Ramsgate, UK Ramsgate Music Hall April 16 Bristol, UK The Exchange April 17 Manchester, UK The Deaf Institute April 18 Glasgow, UK The Hug and Pint April 19 Leeds, UK Brudenell April 20 London, UK The Dome SOLD OUT Tickets for all shows are on-sale now. Daughters is vocalist Alexis Marshall, guitar player Nick Sadler, drummer Jon Syverson and bass player Sam Walker. Following the release of their 2010 self-titled album, the band took an indefinite hiatus, returning in 2013 for a pair of sold-out hometown shows in Providence, and a subsequent smattering of live dates in the intervening years, including joining Dillinger Escape Plan for that band’s final live outings in December of 2017. The foursome released You Won’t Get What You Want in October of 2018 via Ipecac Recordings. |
