Rock Night Out returns with Dead Poet Society – August 13

JULY 29, 2021 – Los Angeles, CA – Live music series Rock Night Out returns for the first time since 2019, presenting alt rock headliners Dead Poet Society and a sneak preview of the wild west burlesque fantasy, Desperada on Friday August 13. Join the rock tastemakers for a night of debauchery at the Houston Brothers 1980’s themed haunt Break Room 86, tucked away through a secret entrance within the chic Line Hotel. The show begins at 7:00pm PT and an RSVP is required for attendance. This is a 21+ event. Fans can RSVP to the show here.
Desperada explores the classic tale of good versus evil, the notorious pathos of western films and the dynamic scenes that juxtapose cinematic stillness with sudden action, violence and physical feats. All this and more embodied by world-class female talent – cirque artists, glorious dance ensemble, burlesque starlets and a rung of other debaucherous outlaws for your viewing pleasure! From the creator of TARANTINA, they welcome you to a brand new #fempire.
Dead Poet Society released their debut LP -!-  in March 2021 via Spinefarm Records and have been creating waves in the alt-rock world since. Take the bruising belter “Been Here Before,” which pairs a stadium-sized chorus with angular guitars and Dylan Brenner’s blown-out fuzz bass; “I Never Loved Myself Like I Loved You” opens with the fidelity of an iPhone demo before blooming into a cinematic dream-pop singalong anchored by Will Goodroad’s rim-click drum groove. Brenner is a new addition to the lineup, but his experience as the band’s touring stand-in for the duration of their career has made him a natural fit.
“Our goal,” guitarist Jack Collins emphasizes, “is to make someone feel something they haven’t felt before.”
Dead Poet Society is Jack Underkofler (vocals/guitar), Jack Collins (guitar), Will Goodroad (drums), and Dylan Brenner (bass).
