I had the opportunity to visit Louisville Kentucky and catch Wednesday 13 on his “Undead and Unplugged” tour. The show was being held at a very cool “dive bar” called The Cure Lounge. Immediately upon entering the venue I knew this was the perfect setting for a Wednesday 13 show, dark lights, lots of leather, and lots of horror fans courtesy of The Louisville Gore Club!
When the time came for Wednesday 13 and guitarist Roman Surman to come out, everyone was ready and packed into the stage area. The setup was simple, a couple of tables, a few acoustic guitars, and a dimly lit room. Wednesday 13 and Roman came out and explained how this show is different, and how it was a chance for him to connect with the fans. The night was about music, stories, and some questions and answers sessions in between songs.
Overall it was a great show, really great music, entertaining and funny stories, and a great atmosphere!
If you have an opportunity to catch one of these intimate performances you definitely should!
