March 10, 2017 — FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY have debuted a brand new music video for their track “Black Mammoth” off their new LP, coming out this month, exclusively via METAL INJECTION. “We were recording the new record when the shit hit the fan in North Dakota, and I felt compelled to write a song that would address it,” says guitarist and producer Will Putney. “This short clip we pieced together gives a little insight into the events that have transpired over the past few months throughout the protests.”
“It got bad, then it got better, then it got worse, and now the natives of North Dakota need more help than ever, so we’re launching an additional CD/Shirt bundle in conjunction with the single. All the profits from this sale will go directly to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe – Dakota Access Pipeline Fund. No one in this country should have their rights denied or their homes taken from them.”
The new single is being released on the heels of the band’s music video for “Heads Will Hang,”released last month via Alternative Press, as well as the most recently released track, “Iron Moon.” This is the second music video the band has released from their upcoming new release.
Fit For An Autopsy will release The Great Collapse on March 17, 2017 via Entertainment One (eOne) / Good Fight Music in North America and SPV overseas.
Artist Adam Burke was tapped to create the visually stunning cover art seen below.
The Great Collapse will be the the band’s fourth full length record, continuing the momentum gained from a solid 200+ days of worldwide touring backing the buzz-worthy release of Absolute Hope Absolute Hell in late 2015, as well The Depression Sessions, a split release with The Acacia Strain and Thy Art Is Murder in 2016. Putney adds, “It’s going to be the strongest record in our catalog. The overall mood and atmosphere of this album feels fully realized and emotionally stirring.”
