Upcoming North American Tour Begins June 3 in Montreal, QC

In addition to releasing their upcoming full-length album, Die On My Ride, on June 2via M-Theory Audio, Global Music Award-winning nomadic folk metal group TENGGER CAVALRY just announced that they will follow the release with a 25+ date North American headline tour featuring support from Felix Martin and Helsott. After the release of the band’s first single from the album, “Die On My Ride” (listen here), the band teased that more tracks would be released showcasing a different side of the band both musically and conceptually.
Enter “Ashley”, a brand new, slightly pop-influenced ballad streaming now via Billboard.com. The track delivers an expansion of the band’s influences and styles that will appeal to a wider fan audience.
TENGGER CAVALRY frontman Nature G explains: “Most of TENGGER CAVALRY‘s songs are war or warrior related, telling stories of epic adventures that get our fans excited and ready to go raid with us! This song, however, is an experiment in personal emotion. It is a love song, and written in our signature sound, yet also blends in some pop music flavor, as a small surprise for our fans.”
TENGGER CAVALRY‘s new album, Die On My Ride, adds new flavor to the band’s celebrated, exotic metal-meets-Mongolian/Central Asian musical influence and lyrical explorations of tradition, history and warfare. The album further delves into topical themes of personally-experienced racial discrimination, identity conflicts and equal rights issues while exploring new sounds and musical influence.
Die On My Rideis available to pre-order now in both physical CD and vinyl format via M-Theory Audio or digitally via the band’s Bandcamp page. The album is distributed by AISA/RED in North America.
As announced last week, TENGGER CAVALRY‘s upcoming headline tour with Felix Martin and Helsott will begin in Montreal, QC on June 3 and visit several other major Canadian and U.S. cities before coming to an end on July 8 in Manchester, NH (Helsott will appear June 18-June 27). About TENGGER CAVALRY:
As one of the most unique and innovative acts in modern music, TENGGER CAVALRY (“the army of the sky god” in Mongolian) blends the nomadic musical traditions, instrumentation and warrior spirit of Central Asia with the aggression and power of heavy metal. The group was founded by Nature “G” Ganganbaigal, who sings using the ancient Mongolian tradition of Khoomei (more commonly known as throat-singing) and plays multiple native instruments, including the Morin Khuur (an ancient fiddle), the Tovshuur (a Mongolian guitar) and the Mongolian flute.
Following Nature G’s relocation to America four years ago, TENGGER CAVALRY has successfully completed two headlining tours and even sold out a performance at New York City’s prestigious Carnegie Hall.
In the studio, meanwhile, the group’s output has been prodigious – since forming in 2010, they’ve released four full-length albums, two EPs and numerous singles, including unique cover interpretations of metal classics. In January, Megadeth‘s Dave Mustaine retweeted the group’s cover of “Symphony of Destruction,” while the previous month, the official Motörhead Facebook page reposted their rendition of “Fight.”
TENGGER CAVALRY has been praised by top media outlets such as Metal Hammer, Terrorizer, Billboard, CNN, The Huffington Postand countless others.
