KIRRA Release New Single “Downfall” Hit The Pavement Tour Announced

Oklahoma City-based rock band Kirra took the scene by storm early on with opening slots on many national tours, including 3 Doors Down, throughout the Oklahoma area. They also gained national airplay and great reception from active rock radio station 100.5 FM (KATT).

It was this attention that gained the band national tours with Saving Abel and Tantric, perpetuating them into the masses with their unique brand of alternative rock. In 2016, the band entered into a unique partnership with Pavement Entertainment for the release of their debut album Run Away, which was released in October of 2016.

Run Away has a little of everything in it lyrically, but more specifically makes a commentary about the music industry. “We wanted to make a statement about overproduction in the music industry today. We wanted to prove you don’t need a bunch of tricks to write good songs,” says lead guitarist Daxton Page. “I feel Run Away was a direct reflection of where we were musically and personally at that moment in time.”

In 2017, Kirra entered into Sonic Palace Recording Studio (Chicago, IL) to record an updated version of the song “Downfall,” which was featured on the debut release Run Away and received a huge fan reaction both live and according to streaming and track sales.

The new version of “Downfall” will be going to active rock radio this spring to coincide with a strong touring schedule the band has planned. Two versions of “Downfall” will also be available as a special iTunes digital release as well.
