Shit got real rowdy real quick the moment Ded took the stage for a sold out crowd at Madison Live in Covington, Kentucky on February 8. (Click here for photos from the show)
The Arizona rockers kicked off the show with “Architect” and by their second song “Disassociate” vocalist Joe Cotela was demanding a mosh pit open up in the small and jam packed venue. The crowd obliged without hesitation.
The chemistry of Joe, Kyle Koelsch (bass), David Ludlow (guitar) and Matt Reinhard (drums) is undeniable. They command the stage and entrance fans with their energy and their aggressive anthems.
The band played several songs from their debut album Mis*An*Thrope, which was just released in July of 2017. Unfortunately for fans the set was cut a little short due to technical issues before Ded took the stage. We didn’t get to hear the band’s first single “FMFY”, but we did get to hear their latest single “Hate Me” and their biggest hit to date “Anti-Everything.” It was a killer performance. Ded never disappoints.
Ded has been touring relentlessly since the release of their first song “FMFY” at the end of 2016. Throughout 2017 they toured with heavy hitters like Korn and played almost every major music festival across the country. They jammed aboard Shiprocked in early 2018, and are now touring with In This Moment and P.O.D. Their rise to success has been fast and furious and fabulous.
I chatted with Joe, Kyle and Matt before the show at Madison Live to find out a little more about Ded’s success and their plans for the future.
