Musical festival season is almost upon us and one of my favorite parts of the big festivals is discovering great new music and cool new bands. One band I’m really looking forward to seeing at several of the festivals is Southern California rockers Them Evils. They have a great vibe and a fun groove that is sure to get the crowds pumped up.
Them Evils is a trio inspired by rock giants like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and Queens of The Stone Age and have caught the ear of no less an icon than Zack Wylde, who had them open for Zakk Sabbath in 2017. They have toured with The Pretty Reckless, 10 Years, and Alter Bridge among others. They also have hit the stage at some of the biggest Rock festivals in the U.S. including Louder Than Life, High Elevation and Aftershock, and they are back on the festival lineups for 2018.
The band has just released their scorching new single “Got Me Rockin‘” which is now available on all major digital streaming and sales outlets. This song is a great rock and roll anthem flavored with a little southern rock swagger. The chemistry of band mates Jordan Griffin (guitars/vocals), Jake Massanari (bass), and David Delaney II (drums) is evident on this song. From the first guitar riff to the kickin’ drums and the saucy vocals – it’s just a fun and fantastic jam.
An EP of new material from Them Evils will be released on May 4th through Burning Records. The EP was recorded and produced by Kato Khandwala (The Pretty Reckless, Blondie, Drowning Pool, Pierce the Veil). This is the band’s third EP. Their debut EP was Cold Black Love in 2015 followed by the self-titled Them Evils EP in 2016. They made inroads on Active Rock Radio in 2017 with “She Got Nothin“, which peaked at #22 on the BDS Rock Indicator chart.
They were born for the stage and have been road warriors for the past four years – constantly touring clubs, as well as with some of the biggest names in rock and roll today. To support the new “Got Me Rockin‘” single and to set up the May EP release, the band is set to embark on a west coast run with Red Sun Rising followed by their own headlining tour of the U.S. this spring. They will play Welcome to Rockville, Carolina Rebellion and Rock on The Range on the festival circuit. Catch them if you can!
