Images of Eden has a great sound and their music cannot be described by only one genre. The band is a great mix of rock and metal. On Images from Eden’s latest album, Soulrise, you can figure out your own as to what genre the band fits. It is simply an album that rocks the soul.

The first riff from the album will make anyone a new fan. It’s heavy and progressive. “Harvest Day” begins the journey of an album made to inspire. The guitar solo is particularly good in this first track and sets up the album well.

Listening to music is a different experience for everyone. Soulrise shows how different scenarios in life can be interpreted through music. Everyone experiences ups and downs in life, this album inspires you to hang in there when things are tough and enjoy the good times.

“Shield Me” will have you singing along.  The highlights of the percussion along with the heavy riffs work wonderfully alongside the vocals. Pay attention to the lyrics, it is well written in all aspects.

The song “Moonrise” is my favorite, it is a beautiful song with lovely piano. It makes me feel happy and sad all in one song. The song is emotional and every instrument in the song works so well together! The guitar solo in this song will rock you to your core. This song is reminiscent of the eighties rock ballads, it’s good to know that there are still bands that will make these songs.

“Twice Upon a Time” starts with a guitar riff that is undeniably the best riff on the album.  This is a harder edged song that makes you bang your head. The mix of heavy rhythms and an almost dreamlike sound will carry you on an array of emotions. The musicianship on this album is impressive.

The album’s title track, “Soulrise”, is a great way to end. This is an epic song that is almost ten minutes of electrifying music. This song brings to mind longer songs from the seventies that you can listen to over and over and never get sick of hearing.  The guitar solo mixed with great vocals, and killer percussion, make this song one of the best on the album.  “Soulrise” will take you on a roller coaster of emotions similar to the journey of life.

Every now and again an album will come along with a great flow, this is Soulrise. The album is well-produced and it is created by talented musicians. Everyone can relate to a song on Soulrise. Images of Eden will be entertaining us for a long time.
