Oct. 10, 2018, San Jose, Calif. – Covet, the Bay Area math rock trio featuring guitar player Yvette Young, bass player David Adamiak and drummer Forrest Rice, debut the video for “Glimmer” via Guitar World (https://www.guitarworld.com/ “This song was originally a delicate and soft acoustic song I wrote but when I played it one day with the band, it evolved into this heavy moody piece with massive modulated delays and lots of reverb,” explains Young. “It’s cool how sometimes songs can be reborn and take a whole new shape when you put it in the context of a full band.” The clip arrives as the band is on tour with Polyphia, having released their Triple Crown Records’ debut, effloresce, this summer. The Noise said the six-song release is “one of 2018’s best instrumental records,” The Vinyl District awarding the six-song album an A-, and She Shreds Magazine, in a multi-page profile of Young, said the band has “reached a pivotal moment in both creative and personal development.” Covet is currently running a remix contest, giving fans the opportunity to tackle the song “Shibuya” with the winner receiving a Meris guitar pedal.
