Spicier than a plate of Nashville hot chicken but just as southern-sounding, the bangin’ boys of Joyous Wolf made a stop in Harrison, Ohio, on March 20th. This group from Southern California is touring heavily right now, supporting Buckcherry and bringing their funky (cowbell IS involved), twangy rock to stages across the nation.

Signed last year by the well-known label, Roadrunner Records, the group consists of Nick Reese (vocals), Blake Allard (guitar), Greg Braccio (bass), and Robert Sodaro (drums). Together this group injects a fresh sound into the modern rock scene, and Nick’s stage antics are some of the most athletic and energetic this reviewer has seen in a long time!

The guys take it up a notch with their lively “Mississippi Queen” and “Place in Time.” Their true range is shown with the slower “Quiet Heart.” The song still rings true to the band’s wanderlust-inducing spirit, but you get to really experience the power behind Reese’s vocals.

Check out their remaining tour dates if you’re seeking a fun, flavorful evening. If you can’t catch them live, check out Joyous Wolf’s videos and fan group, Joyous Mob.
