Concert Review – Nothing More Live in Cincinnati, Ohio at The Andrew J Brady ICON Music Center – 5/31/22
Nothing More performed this week at one of Cincinnati’s newest venue’s, The Andrew J Brady ICON Music Center. Nothing More features vocals by Jonny Hawkins, guitarist Mark Vollelunga, bassist Daniel Oliver, and drummer Ben Anderson.
Nothing More was the headliner this night as tour mates Asking Alexandria had to postpone due to illness. This meant we had the rest of the night to enjoy Nothing More’s incredible sounds.
I’ve seen Nothing More many times and each time they sound incredible. The energy of Jonny Hawkins on stage is amazing. Jonny sang while pacing the stage and jumping occasionally on a device named “The Scorpion”. During the set he would go to this machine and hammer on the drums, pull levers, and sing. The Scorpion adds a special touch to the live performance as it looks very cool and sounds great.
Nothing More started their set with their new song “Turn It Up Like (Stand in the Fire)” and rolled into “Let ‘em Burn”. Then some of my favorite older songs, “Do You Really Want It”, “Jenny”, and “Go to War”.
