Whitesnake – The Rose Music Center at Huber Heights – June 15, 2016

On this stormy night in Ohio, Rock and Roll legends Whitesnake made a stop at the newest venue in Dayton called The Rose Center at Huber Heights.  Whitesnake performed with supporting act The Witford/St. Holmes band.  This being my first time to the Rose Center at Huber Heights, I found the venue to be a very comfortable, intimate and acoustically pleasing to see a live concert.  The Witford/ St. Holmes band is comprised of a few legends of Rock and Roll including, Aerosmith ex-guitarist Brad Whitford and Ted Nugent guitarist/vocalist Derek St Holmes. The Witford/ St. Holmes band are out in support of their newest studio album “Reunion”. The set was a rocking musical treat of the bands original music In addition to a few treats taken from their days with Ted Nugent and Aerosmith.

When Whitesnake took the stage, lead singer David Coverdale came out greeting the crowd and working them into a frenzy in preparation for the show.  As the band began to play the excitement grew as the 1987 release “Bad Boys” poured from the speakers and amps filling the venue.  Song after song, hit after hit, the band was musically tight and Coverdale’s vocals still stand up as he paced back and forth on the stage like a caged tiger. With hits like “Slide it in”, “Love ain’t no Stranger”, and “Fool for your Love”, the whole crowd was singing along in unison with the band.  This was a great show at a great new venue! If you have a chance to catch Whitesnake live, make sure you do.
