First Single, “Highway Tune,” Impacts Rock Radio on June 5,
But Has Already Charted on MediaBase
LOS ANGELES, CA (Thursday, June 1, 2017) — Greta Van Fleet, the rising young rock band that is making some of the most buzzed-about, high-energy rock’n’roll music heard in a long time, heads back on the road beginning June 9 with a series of club headline dates and summer/fall festivals that include stops at Milwaukee’s Summerfest (July 1), Louisville’s Louder Than Life (October 1), and the Rock Allegiance in Camden, NJ (October 7). These dates follow the band’s six May concerts opening for The Struts – GVF’s first-ever tour dates – that had audiences cheering and applauding for the band long after their set ended and they left the stage, and prompted Indianapolis’s alt/weekly

These upcoming tour dates are in support of the band’s debut EP Black Smoke Rising (released April 21 on Lava Records) and first single, “Highway Tune,” that impacts rock radio on Monday, June 5. But radio has not waited for the label’s green light to program the track; “Highway Tune” is already being played on 29 rock and alternative stations across the country, and made its MediaBase debut this week at #45, a week before the track is serviced to radio. Two weeks ago,”Highway Tune” debuted at #59 on Detroit’s powerhouse WRIF-FM playlist; last week it skyrocketed to #5, this week it’s occupying the #4 spot. In addition, “Highway Tune” has been in “Hyper Rotation” at SiriusXM’s Octane for weeks. Greta Van Fleet has also been confirmed to guest on the syndicated radio programs “Sixx Sense,” “Jonesy’s Jukebox,” “2 Hours w/ Matt Pinfield,” and the “Mancow Morning Show.”

Greta Van Fleet is four young men, two are 18, two just turned 21; three are brothers, two of them are twins, and one best friend, all from the idyllic Michigan village of Frankenmuth (pop. 5000).
