Interview:

1. Pryti, can you tell our viewers a little bit about your background?  Where are you based out of?  Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Birmingham UK and I’m based out of London.

2.  Pryti, I see that you are a solo artist!  Have you performed live on stage?  If and when you do how will the stage show be?  Will there be a band or will you be responsible for all the sound on the stage?

I haven’t performed yet but I now have a band that will be performing with me on stage so we are sorting out how it will sound live.

3.  What are some of the advantages and disadvantages of being a solo artist in the rock world?  We see solo artists more in the “pop” music world and less in the rock world.

I think the advantages would be pretty much the same in any genre. I have control over the music I make there’s no band meeting for every decision. The disadvantages are sometimes people don’t take you seriously I get the ‘really’ look a lot. However, there are more advantages than disadvantages and I think the rock world are very accepting.

4.  I see that your videos have a TON of views on Youtube!  What have you done to market yourself?

I’ve advertised through various magazines and a lot through social media.

5. In the press release it mentions Deftones as an influence!  Deftones are one of my favorite bands!  What album from the Deftones speaks to you most as an influence?

I love White Pony every song is so catchy and strong with plenty of melancholy.

6.  Any plans for touring?  If there are touring plans, any plans to come to the United States?  Any bands on your radar that you would like to tour with?

Not at the moment but I would love to tour the USA. Hopefully I can get some support act slots. I’d like to tour with Bring me the Horizon, Lonely the Brave, Of Mice and Men, Garbage, Pvris and Deftones.
